The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a celebration of the art of riding dapper on classic custom motorcycles. It is an annual charity ride event that funds prostate cancer research.

The rules are simple: dress dapper and ride on.

This is The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2014 in Singapore, on 28th September, hosted by Motorwerks and Mah Motors Singapore.

This year, we had a total of 350 riders participating in the ride, a significant increase from 200+ riders during the event last year. These 350 riders, together with their sponsors, managed to raise a total of $14,674 for prostate cancer research in the Southeast Asia region.

We gathered at Motorwerks: Flagship that afternoon. Participating riders came, met up with old friends, and made new ones.

While we were anticipating all participants for the ride to begin, riders were welcome to our photo booth for a portrait.

…and our very own modsquad, lookin’ fine.

Ride off begun at 4pm, with Triumph Marshalls leading the way.

Our first scheduled pit stop was at Fort Canning Green Carpark, down Nicoll Highway.

We congregated there to accommodate for everyone, and man, did we fill up the entire carpark. The next stop was at the Singapore flyer. We rode round Orchard road to turn some heads, and of course, the ride was split up due to speed and traffic lights. Check out Juffrie Friday and his crew on the truck behind, capturing every moment as our official videographers for the event.

After the 2nd scheduled pit stop, we were ready to ride down to Zouk for the Dapper Down After Party, proudly sponsored by Mah Motors Singapore.

At Zouk, we had a flea market with participating collectives such as Tell Your Children, Autocutt and Kult. Kombi Rocks brought down some of their VW Campers, and Kevin White brought down some vintage cars and bikes for viewing pleasure at Zouk’s massive carpark.

We had a buffet, drinks at the bar, and Jaspal Jesus on the DJ ring.

Here at Motorwerks, we would like to thank every single participant who came for the event, and aided in the funds for Prostate Cancer Research. We would also like to thank Triumph Motorcycles Singapore and Mah Motors Singapore for the generous support of the event. Till next year mates, tally-ho!
