INSTALLATION
Remove the old grips and clean the handlebar and throttle tube with contact cleaner to remove residual grip material or glue from the surface. WD-40 works! It’s proved to be the best, most readily available chemical for installing Motor Grips! As it dries, it gently bonds the rubber grip material to the metal surfaces of the handlebar and throttle tube. DO NOT USE grip glue, hair spray or other chemicals for this step. Spray a quick blast of WD-40 lubricant into the open end of grip. Slide grip onto handlebar and seat grip end snugly onto bar end with gentle pulling twisting motion. Repeat on the other side. Allow to dry overnight for maximum adhesion. HARLEY OWNERS Installation of Moto Grips on stock Harley Davison hand controls may require using aftermarket throttle tubes or assemblies.
